OLD RICE KILLU VADAM/ PALAYA SOORU VATHAL

 KILLU VADAM

Ingredients:
Old Rice - 1 cup
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 t spoon
Cumin Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch
Salt to taste





      Soak leftover rice in water overnight.
      Drain water and transfer rice to a mixer.
      Grind the rice with chilly powder, cumin powder, turmeric and salt.


      Mix the cumin seeds with your hands.


      Pinch small portion of the mixture and place it in a plate.



      Sprinkle some oil in the bottom of the plate before placing the vadam, so that it will be easy to take out when dried.
      Sun dry for 2 days. 1st day night remove vadams from the plate and store it covered.


      Sun dry until completely dried and store it in an air tight container.
      Deep fry the vadams until golden whenever needed. 


      Serve with rice or have as such.
