PERFECT HOMEMADE POPCORN

 POPCORN 

Ingredients:
Corn Kernels - 1/4 cup
Butter - 1 tbl spoon
Salt to taste 
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon
Pepper - 1/4 t spoon




      Heat butter in a heavy bottomed pan or a pressure cooker.


      Once the butter is melted add only 2 popcorn kernels and allow it to pop in medium flame.


      This will make sure that the butter is in correct temperature and all the popcorn kernels will pop.
      When the kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels in an even layer.


      Cover the cooker with the lid upside down, allowing some gap.


      The popcorn starts popping all at once with a spluttering sound and a beautiful aroma.
      Once all the kernels are popes the sound stops.
      Now open the lid and transfer the popcorn to a wide bowl.
      Sprinkle some salt, turmeric powder and pepper or chilly powder and give a good mix.


      We can also add cheese powder.
