RAVA DOSA

 RAVA DOSA
Ingredients:
Ravai /Sooji - 1 cup
Maida _ 1/2 cup
Rice Flour _ 1/2 cup
Salt as needed
Pepper _ 1/2 t spoon
Ginger _ 1/2 inch piece
Cumin Seeds _ 1 t spoon
Green Chilly _ 1/2
Curry Leaves _ 1 spring
Curd _ 2 TBL spoon
Water 4 1/2 cup
Asafoetida _ 1 pinch



      In a mixing bowl mix together rava, maida, rice flour, salt, pepper, cumin, chopped green Chilly, chopped ginger, chopped curry leaves, curd and 4 cups water with a wire whisk and keep aside.


      Let the batter rest for 1/2 an hour.



      Now add asafoetida and 1 tbl spoon rava in the batter and mix well.
      The batter should be in water consistency.
      Otherwise add 1/2 cup more water.
      In a hot dosa tawa pour the batter from the top so that holes are formed in the dosa.


      Do not pour the batter in the centre and spread as we do for normal dosa.
      Drizzle some oil and cook on both sides in low flame, until golden and crispy.


      Serve rava dosa immediately with tomato or coconut chutney.


NOTES:

     We can add a t spoon of sugar in the batter for more golden and crispy rava dosa.
