POTATO KURUMA

 POTATO KURUMA

Ingredients :
Potato _ 2
Onion _ 1/2
Tomato _ 1/2
Salt as needed
Kasuri Methi _ 1/2 t spoon
Oil _ 1 tbl spoon
Butter _ 1 tbl spoon
Chilly Powder _ 1/2 t spoon
Coriander Powder _ 1 t spoon
Garam Masala _ 1/2 t spoon 
Fennel Seeds _ 1 t spoon 
Cinnamon _ 1 stick 
Cardamom _ 1
Cloves _ 1
To Grind:
Coconut _ 3 tbl spoon 
Green Chilly _ 1
Ginger _ 1/2 Inch piece
Garlic _ 4
Cashewnut/ Almond _ 5


      Grind the ingredients for grinding with little water to a fine paste.



      In a pressure cooker, heat oil and fry fennel seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves for a minute.
      Add chopped onion, tomato and saute until transparent.


      Add chopped potato, chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt and mix well.



      Add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 4 whistles.


      Once pressure releases, open the lid and add the coconut paste.


      Cook in low flame until the masala smell leaves.
      Add butter and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.



      Enjoy potato kuruma with chapathi.
