GHEE RICE

GHEE RICE 

Ingredients:
Basmati  Rice - 1 cup
Ghee - 3 tbl spoon 
Cinnamon - 1 stick 
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 2
Biriyani Leaf - 1
Onion - 1
Green Chilly - 1


      Wash and soak basmati rice in water for 1/2 an hour.


      In a pressure cooker heat heat ghee and fry cinnamon, biriyani leaf, cardamom, cloves in low flame.


      Add sliced onion, green chilly and fry for 3 minutes.


      Drain excess water and add the rice.


      Add 2 1/4 cup water and close the lid.


      Pressure cook rice for 4 whistles in medium flame.
      Once pressure releases open the lid and give a gentle mix.


      Garnish with chopped almonds and cashews.


      Enjoy ghee rice when it is hot with any gravy of your choice.
