 GREEN PEAS MASALA

Ingredients:
Green Peas _ 1/2 cup
Onion _ 1/2
Fennel Seeds _ 1/2 t spoon
Cloves _ 2
Cinnamon _ 1
Turmeric Powder _ 1/4 t spoon
Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder _ 1 t spoon
Kasuri Methi _ 1 t spoon
Oil _ 1 tbl spoon
Butter _ 1 tbl spoon 
Salt as needed
To Grind:
Onion _ 1/2
Ginger _ 1/2 Inch piece
Garlic _ 4
Green Chilly _ 1
Cashews / Almond _ 7


      In a pan heat 1/2 t spoon oil and saute the ingredients under to grind until onion turns transparent.



      Grind to a fine paste with little water and keep aside.
      In a pan heat oil and fry fennel seeds, cloves, cinnamon for a minute.
      Add chopped onion and fry until golden.
      Add fresh green peas and saute in the oil for 3 more minutes.


      Now add the ground paste, salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilly powder and mix well.


      Add 1/2 cup water, kasuri methi, 1/2 tbl spoon butter and cook the gravy covered in low flame.
      Once the peas are cooked soft and the gravy reaches the required consistency, switch off the flame.



      Garnish with chopped onion, a pinch of butter and enjoy green peas masala with chapathi.
