PRAWN THOKKU/ PRAWN CURRY

 PRAWN  THOKKU

Ingredients:
Prawn- 400 gm
Onion - 1 1/2
Tomato - 2
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbl spoon 
Curry Leaves 
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Chilly Powder - 1 t spoon 
Coriander Powder - 1 t spoon 
Garam Masala - 1/2 t spoon 
Salt as needed 
Green Chilly - 1
Cinnamon Stick - 1
Cloves - 2
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Oil - 4 tbl spoon 


      Make slits in the back of the prawns and remove the centre thread.
      Wash the prawns and keep aside.
      In a pan heat oil, cloves, fennel seeds, cinnamon and fry for a minute.


      Add finely chopped onion and fry until golden.


       Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.


      Add slit green chilly, chopped tomato, salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and cook until mushy.


      Now add the prawns and mix well.


      Close the pan with a lid and cook for 12 minutes.
      No need to add water. Prawns itself let’s out some water.


      Once the prawns gets cooked, switch off the flame and add chopped curry leaves.


      Enjoy prawn THOKKU with rice and rasam.
