GREEN GRAM CURRY / PACHAPAYURU KURUMA

 GREEN GRAM CURRY 

Ingredients:
Green Gram - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Garlic - 5
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Chilly Powder - 1 t spoon 
Coriander Powder - 1 t spoon 
Curry Leaves - 1 spring 
Salt as needed 
Coconut Oil - 2 tbl spoon 
Green Chilly - 1
Red Chilly - 1
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 t spoon 


      Wash and soak green gram in water overnight.


      Add 1 cup water and pressure cook the green gram for 5 whistles and keep aside.
      In a pan heat oil and fry mustard seeds, crushed garlic, curry leaves, green chilly and red chilly.     


         
      Now add chopped onion and fry until golden.
      Add ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell leaves.
      Add chopped tomato, salt, chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and cook until mushy.



      Now add the cooked green gram and mix well.



      Our green gram kuruma goes well with rice or chappathi.
