PANEER POLLICHATHU
Ingredients:Paneer - 200 gm
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Salt as needed
Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon
Coriander Powder - 1/2 t spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbl spoon
Coconut Oil - 1 tbl spoon
For Paneer Marinate:
Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon
Coriander Powder - 1/2 t spoon
Cumin Powder - 1/2 t spoon
Garam Masala - 1/4 t spoon
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 t spoon
Lemon - 1/2
Cut paneer into 2 breadth wise.
Make slits in the paneer without breaking it and keep aside.

Mix together the items under marinate and mix well.
Coat both sides of the paneer with the thick marinate paste.
Roast the marinated paneer carefully in a hot dosa tawa on both sides until slightly browned.
Drizzle coconut oil on both sides for even roasting.
In a pan heat coconut oil and add finely chopped onion and sauté for few minutes.
Add chopped tomato and cook until mushy.
Add chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and cook for 5 more minutes.
Now add chopped coriander leaves and our masala is ready.
Take a banana leaf and show in the medium flame so that they become soft.
Spread a spoon full of masala on the banana leaf.

Now place the roasted paneer and apply the masala again.
Fold the banana leaf gently and tie using a thread.
Place the banana leaf in a hot dosa tawa and keep a heavy weight above the paneer so that it gets pressed.
Now cook the banana leaf parcel on both sides for 3 minutes each side.
Our Paneer POLLICHATHU is ready.
Open the banana leaf and enjoy spicy paneer when it is hot.
