CAULIFLOWER BIRIYANI

CAULIFLOWER BIRIYANI 

Ingredients:
 Cauliflower - 1 cup
Onion - 1 
Tomato - 1
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbl spoon 
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbl spoon 
Salt as needed 
Chilly Powder - 1 t spoon 
Coriander Powder - 1 t spoon 
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Biriyani Powder - 1/2 t spoon 
Biriyani Leaf - 1
Cinnamon Stick - 1
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 2
Ghee - 1 tbl spoon 
Oil - 1 tbl spoon 
Basmati Rice - 1 cup


      Wash and soak rice for 1/2 an hour.
      Clean cauliflower florets and keep aside.
      Heat oil and ghee in a pan.
      Fry cinnamon stick, biriyani leaf, fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom for a minute.


      Now add chopped onion, tomato, ginger garlic paste and fry until golden.


      Add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, biriyani powder, salt and mix well.


      Add the cauliflower florets, 1 cup water and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.


      Now add basmati rice and chopped coriander leaves and mix gently.



      Cover with a lid and place the pan in a hot dosa tawa.
      Keep a heavy weight above the pan and simmer for 20 minutes.


      Enjoy cauliflower biriyani with raita and chips.
