AVAL MURUKKU

AVAL MURUKKU 

Ingredients:
Aval / Poha - 1/2 cup
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Omar - 1/2 t spoon 
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 cup
Salt as needed 
Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
Butter - 1 tbl spoon 


       Soak aval an hot water for 20 minutes.



      Grind with butter to a fine paste.


      Add rice flour, salt, Omam, cumin, asafoetida and kneed to a soft dough.



      Now place the murukku dough in a murukku press and fry in hot oil in medium flame until bubbles reduces.


      Stir occasionally for even cooking.
      Drain the murukku in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.


      Store the poha murukku in an air tight container.
