GREEN PEAS BIRIYANI
Ingredients:Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 t spoon
Oil - 1 t spoon
Ghee - 1 tbl spoon
Chilly Powder - 1/4 t spoon
Garam Masala - 1/4 t spoon
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Salt as needed
Onion - 1
Green Peas - 1/4 cup
Biriyani Leaf - 1
Cinnamon Stick - 1
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 2
To Grind :
Green Chilly - 2
Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup
Wash and soak basmati rice in water for 1/2 an hour.
Grind together mint leaves, green chilly to a coarse paste.
Heat a pressure cooker with oil, ghee and fry fennel seeds, biriyani leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom for a minute.
Add onion and fry until golden.
Add ginger garlic paste, ground masala and sauté until golden.
Add green peas, salt, basmati rice, water and mix well.
Now add coconut milk and allow to boil.
Cover the cooker with weight, simmer for 4 whistles and switch off the flame.
Once pressure releases open the cooker and mix it gently.
Enjoy coconut milk peas biriyani with raita and chips.
