RIBBON PAKODA/ RIBBON MURUKKU

RIBBON PAKODA 

Ingredients:
Idiyappam Rice Flour- 3/4 cup
Gram Flour - 3 tbl spoon 
Porikadalai Powder - 2 tbl spoon 
Chilly Powder- 3/4 t spoon 
Salt as needed 
Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
Seasame Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Melted Butter - 1 tbl spoon 


      Seive rice flour, gram flour, roasted gram flour in a mixing bowl.
      Add salt, asafoetida, chilly powder, salt, melted butter, seasame seeds and mix well.


      Add water and kneed to a soft dough.


      Place the long hole plate that is used for ribbon murukku and place it in the press.
      Make the dough into big oval shaped balls and fill the pressing murukku maker.


      Press the murukku in hot oil and fry in low flame until bubbles subsides.


      Remove the murukku in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.


      Store the ribbon pakoda in an air tight container.
