COCONUT RICE PAYASAM

COCONUT PAYASAM 

Ingredients:
Rice - 1 tbl spoon 
Coconut - 2 tbl spoon 
Brown Sugar -  1/4 cup 
Ghee - 1 tbl spoon 
Almonds - 4
Cardamom - 1
Milk - 2 tbl spoon 


      Wash and soak rice for 2 hours.


      Grind together rice, coconut, cardamom seeds with 1/4 cup water to a fine paste.


      Add 1 cup water and mix well.


      Boil the coconut rice water in low flame until the rice gets cooked and we get a porridge consistency.


      Boil brown sugar with 3 tbl spoon water and filter using a tea filter.


      Pour the brown sugar water in the payasam and simmer for 5 minutes.


      Add milk and switch off the flame.
      Fry chopped almonds in ghee and pour in the payasam.



      Creamy coconut payasam is ready to enjoy.
