GARLIC OMA PODI/ GARLIC SEV

POONDU OMA PODI

Ingredients:
 Gram Flour / Kadalai Maavu - 1 cup
Salt as needed 
Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon 
Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
Oil - For Deep Frying 
To Grind:
Garlic - 4
Ajwain / Omam - 1 t spoon 


      Grind garlic, omam in a mixer with water to a fine paste.
      Strain in a tea filter and keep aside.
      Take gram flour, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder, filtered Oma water in a mixing bowl.



      Kneed to a sticky dough and place it in a murukku press with small holes.


      Heat oil in a pan and press the dough directly.


      Deep fry both sides in low flame until bubbles reduces.
      Drain in a tissue paper and break into small pieces.
      Once cooled completely, store in an air tight container.


      Enjoy garlic oma podi with a cup of tea.
