MASAL PARUPPU VADAI
Ingredients:
Chana Dal - 1/2 cup
Fennel Seeds - 1 t spoon
Ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 5
Salt as needed
Red Chilly - 3
Onion - 1/2
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbl spoon
Mint Leaves - 4
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Green Chilly - 1
Oil for deep frying
Wash and soak chana Dal for 4 hours.
Drain the water completely and grind together with red chilly, garlic, ginger, fennel seeds coarsely.
Add salt, chopped onion, mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilly and mix well.
Make small balls and flatten lightly.
Deep fry the vadai in hot oil in medium flame until golden turning in between.
Remove the vadai in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.
