SAMAI THAYIR SADHAM/ LITTLE MILLET CURD RICE

SAMAI CURD RICE

Ingredients:
Samai / Little Millet - 1/2 cup
 Water - 2 cups
 Milk - 1/4 cup
Curd - 2 tbl spoon 
Salt as needed 
Oil - 1/2 t spoon 
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Curry Leaves - 1 spring 
Green Chilly - 1/2
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece 


      Wash and soak little millet in water for 1/2 an hour.


      Cook in low flame covered until the water gets absorbed and the rice gets soft.


      Switch off the flame and add hot milk, salt and smash the rice.



      Now add curd and mix well.


      Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
      Now add curry leaves, finely chopped green chilly, ginger and sauté until golden.
      Add the tadka to the curd rice.


      Enjoy samai curd rice with pickle and papad.
