THINAI MURUKKU/ FOXTAIL MILLET MURUKKU

 THINAI MURUKKU 

Ingredients:
Thinai - 1 cup
Fried Gram - 1 tbl spoon 
Rice Flour - 1/4 cup
Butter - 1 tbl spoon 
Salt as needed 
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon 
Ajwain - 1/4 t spoon 
Gram Flour - 1 tbl spoon 


      Wash thinai millet and drain the water.
      Allow it to dry completely.


      Grind thinai along with fried gram.
      Seive the thinai flour along with rice flour and add butter, salt, chilly powder, ajwain.


        Add little water and kneed to a soft dough.


      Place the dough in the murukku press and press the murukku in back side of the laddle.


      Drop the murukku from the laddle into hot oil and fry in low flame until bubbles reduces.


      Turn the murukku in between for even cooking.
      Remove the thinai murukku in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.



      Store foxtail millet murukku in an air tight container once cooled completely.
