CABBAGE STIR FRY/ MUTTAKOSE PORIYAL

 CABBAGE FRY

Ingredients:
Cabbage - 1/4 kg
Onion - 1
Salt as needed 
Green Chilly - 1 
Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu - 2 1/2 tbl spoon Or 1/4 cup
Oil - 1 tbl spoon 
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Urad Dal - 1/2 t spoon 
Curry Leaves - 1 spring 
Coconut -  2 tbl spoon grated


      Cut cabbage into small pieces.


      Wash and soak moong dal for 1/2 an hour.
      Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
      Add urad Dal, finely chopped green chilly, curry leaves and onion.
 

      Sauté for a minute, add moong dal, salt and mix well.


      Add cabbage along with 3 tbl spoon water cook covered in low flame for 15 minutes turning in between.


      Switch off the flame and add grated coconut and mix well.


      Serve cabbage fry with rice.
