PORIKADALAI MURUKKU/ POTTUKADALAI MURUKKU

ROASTED GRAM MURUKKU 



Ingredients:
Roasted Gram / Porikadalai  Flour - 1/4 cup 
Rice Flour - 1 cup
Salt as needed 
Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon 
Ajwain / Black Seasame Seeds - 1/4 t spoon 
Butter - 1/2 tbl spoon 


      Grind porikadalai and seive well.
      Add rice flour, salt, chilly powder, ajwain or black sesame, butter and mix well.


      Add little water and kneed to a soft dough.


      Place the dough in a murukku press and press directly in hot oil.


      Fry the murukku in low - medium flame until the bubbles subsides.
      Turn the murukku in between for uniform frying.
      Remove the murukku in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.


      Store the murukku in an air tight container and enjoy with a cup of tea.
