APPAM/AAPPAM

Ingredients:
Idly Rice- 3 cups
Raw Rice - 1 cup
Urad Dal - 2 tbl spoon 
Cooked rice - 2 tbl spoon 
Salt as needed 


      Wash and soak raw rice, idly rice, urad Dal for 3 hours.



      Grind along with cooed rice in a grinder until smooth.
      Sprinkle water if needed.
      It takes approximately 30 minutes.



      Remove the ground dough and add salt.


      Mix well with your hands and allow it ferment overnight.


      Add water and make the batter little watery.
      Heat appam making pot and add the dough.
      Swirl or rotate gently to coat the sides.


      Cover with a lid and cook in medium flame until the bottom turns crisp.
      Remove the appam and enjoy with milk, sugar, ghee, grated coconut.
