GREEN PEAS MASALA
Ingredients:Dried Green Peas - 1/2 cup
Salt as needed
Tomato - 2
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 t spoon
Green Chilly - 1/2
Mustard - 1/4 t spoon
Coconut Oil - 1 tbl spoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon
Red Chilly Powder - 3/4 t spoon
Garam Masala - 1/2 t spoon
Coriander Powder - 3/4 t spoon
Cashew nut - 5
Wash and soak dried green peas overnight.
Drain excess water and keep aside.
Grind tomato to fine purée.
Heat oil a pressure cooker and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
Add ginger garlic paste, green chilly and sauté for a minute.
Add tomato purée, green peas and sauté for a minute.
Now add turmeric powder, salt, chilly powder, coriander powder and mix well.
Add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 2 whistles in medium flame.
Open the cooker once pressure releases and add cashew nut paste.
Simmer until we get the required consistency.
