LITTLE MILLET SWEET PONGAL/ SAMAI SARKARAI PONGAL

SAMAI SWEET  PONGAL 

Ingredients:
Samai / Little Millet - 1/2 cup
Moong Dal - 2 bl spoon 
Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 4 t spoon 
Cashew nut -1 tbl spoon 


      Roast moong dal with 1 t spoon ghee in a pressure cooker until it turns aromatic.


      Add washed samai rice and add 2 cups water.



      Pressure cook for 4 whistles in medium flame.
      Open the lid once pressure releases and add powdered jaggery.
      Add 1/4 cup water and simmer until we reach the required consistency.



      Roast cashews, raisins until golden in remaining ghee and add to the sweet Pongal and enjoy.
