THINAI OMAPODI 

Ingredients:
Thinai - 1/2 cup
Besan Flour - 1/4 cup
Butter - 1/2 t spoon 
Hot Oil - 1/2 t spoon 
Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
Salt as needed 
Ajwain - 1/2 t spoon 


      Wash thinai and dry in shade for 1 day.
      Grind to a fine powder and seive it. Our millet flour is ready to use.



      Add gram flour, salt, asafoetida, butter, hot oil to the millet flour.


      Dry roast ajwain until nice aroma comes.
      Add water and grind to a fine paste.
      Add ajwain water to the flour mixture and mix to get a crumble texture.



      Add water and kneed to a soft dough.


      Place the small hole plate in the murukku press and fill the prepared dough.
      Press the dough in hot oil and fry in low flame.


      Turn in between for even cooking.
      Once omapodi turns golden, remove in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.


      Enjoy millet omapodi and store in an airtight container.
