CARROT HALWA

CARROT  HALWA

Ingredients:

Carrot - 4 cups
Milk - 3 cups 
Cardamom - 1/4 t spoon 
Ghee 3 tbl spoon 
Saffron - 5 strands
Cashewnut - 5
Badam - 5
Sugar - 1/2 cup - 2 tbl spoon 


      Wash and peel the skin of the carrots and grate using a grater.
      Add 1 tbl spoon ghee and roast the grated carrots until it changes colour and gets cooked well.


      Add saffron, milk and and cook in medium flame until the milk completely gets absorbed.


      Add sugar and mix well.



      The mixture again becomes watery.
      Sauté until it becomes thick.
      Add cardamom powder, roasted nuts, ghee and mix well.

      Enjoy carrot halwa with a scoop of ice cream.
