TOMATO THOKKU

TOMATO  THOKKU

Ingredients:
Oil - 3 t spoon 
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Garlic - 5
Curry Leaves - 1 spring 
Onion - 1
Tomato - 5
Salt as needed 
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Chilly Powder - 1 t spoon 


      Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
      Add chopped garlic and fry for a minute.


      Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.

        Add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and ground tomato purée.




      Simmer and cook covered until oil releases and the thokku reaches the required consistency.


      Stir occasionally for even cooking.


      Have tomato thokku with dosa or chappathi.
