SAAMAI / LITTLE MILLET COCONUT MILK MURUKKU

 SAMAI ARISI COCONUT MILK MURUKKU 

Ingredients:
Saamai / Little Millet - 2 cup
Pori Kadalai / Roasted Gram - 2 tbl spoon 
Rice Flour - 1/2 cup
Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup
Salt as needed 
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon 
Pepper Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Softened Butter - 2 tbl spoon 
Seasame Seeds - 1 tbl spoon 
Oil For Deep Frying 


      Wash and soak saamai rice for 2 hours.
      Drain water completely and allow the rice to dry.
      It takes around 1/2 an hour.        Now grind samai rice, roasted gram to a fine powder.
      Seive the rice powder, add rice flour, salt, chilly powder, pepper powder, cumin, seasame, butter and mix well.



      Add coconut milk and kneed to a soft dough.
      Transfer the dough to the murukku press and press in hot oil.


      Fry the murukku in low flame on both sides until bubbles reduces.
      Remove the murukku in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.

      Enjoy coconut milk millet murukku and store in an airtight container.
