WHEAT APPAM
Ingredients:Coconut - 1 tbl spoon
Cardamom - 2
Rava - 1/4 cup
Naatu Sarkarai - 1/4 cup + 2 tbl spoon
Wheat Flour - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1 pinch
Banana - 1
Baking Soda - 1 pinch
Grind coconut, cardamom, rava, Naatu Sarkarai to a coarse powder.
Add wheat flour, salt, banana, water and make a thick paste.
Allow it to rest for 1/2 an hour.
Add baking soda and mix well.
Add water to get idly batter consistency.
Pour the batter in hot oil and fry in medium flame.
Fry until golden and remove in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.
Out sweet appam is ready.
We can roast the same batter with ghee in kuli Paniyaram pan.
