PEAS SUNDAL
Ingredients:Yellow/ Green Dried Peas - 1 cup
Onion - 1/2
Grated Carrot - 1 tbl spoon
Grated Ginger - 1 t spoon
Salt as needed
Grated Coconut - 1 tbl spoon
Raw mango - 1 tbl spoon grated
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon
Lemon
Curry Leaves - 1 spring
Coconut Oil - 1/2 t spoon
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon
Lemon
Curry Leaves - 1 spring
Coconut Oil - 1/2 t spoon
Wash and soak dried peas overnight.
Pressure cook peas with salt and enough water for 3 whistles.
Once pressure releases, drain off the excess water and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
Add curry leaves, grated ginger, onion and sauté for a minute.
Add cooked peas, carrot, mango, coconut, lemon juice and mix well.
Enjoy peas sundal when it is warm.
