RICE FLOUR THATTAI

THATTAI

Ingredients :
Rice Flour - 1/2 cup
Urad Dal Flour - 1/2 tbl spoon 
Fried Gram - 1 tbl spoon 
Chana Dal - 1 t spoon 
Red Chilly Powder - 1/4 t spoon 
Salt as needed 
Butter - 1/2 tbl spoon 
Asafoetida- 1 pinch 
Seasame Seeds - 1 t spoon 
Curry Leaves - 1 t spoon chopped 
Oil For Deep Frying 


      Roast rice flour, urad dal flour until it is hot.
      Soak chana dal for 1/2 an hour.
      Grind fried gram and seive together with rice flour, urad dal flour.



      Add the above ingredients along with water and kneed to a soft dough.



      Apply oil in a butter paper.
       Make small balls out of the dough. Place a ball in the butter paper, fold the paper and press using a flat bottomed vessel.


      Press using your hands to thin circles and lightly press using a fork so that they don’t puff up.
      Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the thattai in hot oil in low flame until crispy and golden.


      Turn in between for even cooking.
      Remove the thattai in a tissue paper so that excess oil gets absorbed.


      Store the thattai in an airtight container.
