SEMIYA UPMA

Ingredients :
Semiya - 1 cup
Water - 1 1/2 cup 
Onion - 1
Green Chilly - 2
Red Chilli - 1
Carrot - 1
Beans - 3
Green Peas 
Ginger - 1/2 t spoon chopped 
Salt as needed 
Oil - 1 tbl spoon 
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Urad Dal - 1/2 t spoon 
Curry Leaves - 1 spring 


      Roast semiya with 1 t spoon oil in low flame.


      Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
      Add urad dal, curry leaves, slit green chilly, red chilli, chopped ginger.
      Add onion and sauté for a minute.
      Now add chopped carrot, beans, peas and cook covered for 5 minutes in low flame.


      Add salt, water and allow it to boil.


      Add roasted semiya to the boiling water and saute until the water gets absorbed.


      Cook covered for 5 minutes in low flame.
      Add 1 t spoon ghee and mix gently .


      Enjoy semiya upma with chutney or sugar.
